Microneedling

Microneedling

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that uses fine needles to create controlled microscopic punctures in the skin (collagen induction therapy) to trigger the body’s natural healing process. A handheld pen-shaped device or roller creates ‘controlled micro-injuries’ prompting skin remodelling. Commonly used for scar reduction i.e. acne scars and surgical scars and for anti-ageing to improve skin textureand elasticity and reduction of wrinkles.

It stimulates collagen and elastin production helping to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars and uneven skin tone while improving texture. This procedure has slightly more downtime as mild redness and swelling (Like a sunburn) can last between 2-5 days. Risks may also include bruising or infection.

Areas for treatment include:

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Decolletage

Several sessions (3-5) spaced a month apart are recommended for optimal results.
